Launch of the Swiing lamp at Fermob
The Swiing project was born from a desire: to pay tribute to the unique world of pre-war jazz and swing. We worked for three years with Fermob to create this piece, meticulously fine-tuning every detail. To turn it on, it must dance: you tilt it to 75°, activating a rocking switch. The diffuser is made of polycarbonate, with carefully engineered light diffraction to optimize output, allowing us to reduce both lamp and battery power consumption. Charging time has been cut to 3 hours, for up to 12 hours of use. Swiing charges via the Fermob Magnet system or on a charging tray designed for the hospitality industry.

As a designer, the industry collaboration takes on its full meaning here, and Wendelbo’s know-how is particularly relevant: tending towards a form of lightness, visually erasing the “stigmata” of the industrial process, thus leaving room for the sensitivity and natural energy of the design.
